EdemaWear Compression Stockinette
EdemaWear® stockinet utilizes a new textile technology, Fuzzy Wale Elastic Compression (FWC), which appears to be superior to existing compression products in controlling swelling. Wales (fuzzy corduroy-like material) create a fuzzy nexus with the skin to deliver effective compression of the subcutaneous fat and to move water back to the heart. EdemaWear® is made from Medical Grade Lycra Spandex and Nylon. It is Latex Free.
EdemaWear® has six advantages over existing compression garments:
- EdemaWear® is easy to put on and take off. Donning and doffing traditional compression textiles can be impossible with traditional “tight” compression products.
- EdemaWear® is comfortable. It is cool in hot weather. The spaces between the fuzzy wales allow for perspiration to evaporate.
- EdemaWear® is inexpensive. Since Medicare and other insurances do not reimburse for compression products, EdemaWear is an enormous financial advantage for patients.
- Users report a “sense of comfort” while wearing EdemaWear®. It enhances lymphatic function leading to a decreased inflammatory sensation at the level of the skin.
- EdemaWear® melts away lower extremity swelling.
- Clinical observations show that EdemaWear® treats the dermatitis of venous insufficiency. Venous stasis dermatitis is the result of deoxygenated blood that “poisons” skin. Stasis dermatitis heals because wales focus compression at the skin level. Wales deliver physiologically useful compression to the subcutaneous fat.

Description
A soft post-surgical camisole with drain management that features a stretch neckline for easy step-in entry and ultra-soft cotton fabric which offers a snug but non-restrictive fit. Includes 2 Fiberfill Post-Surgical Breast Forms and 2 repositionable Drain Pouches (also sold separately). Inside band holds repositionable Drain Pouch securely in place and VELCRO® brand hook-and-loop fastener on the inside securely holds removable drain pouches. JOBST JoViPak Chin Strap
The Chin Strap – Standard is designed to address edema of the neck, the mandible, and the anterior/lateral aspects of the face, and partially covers the ears.
Velcro® straps at the neck and the top of head (occipital) can be adjusted to patient’s comfort level. The easily adjustable straps allow the patient to be comfortable during various stages of their condition and makes wearing the product overnight more pleasant.
Important: This garment is not padded. There is an open seam at the neck designed for placement of a treatment-related insert. An insert is necessary for maximum fit and therapeutic effectiveness. While the type of insert is dependent on the condition of the patient, JOBST® JoViPak® recommends the Neck Pad – Universal for this garment.

JOBST JoViPad Genital Pad with Polartec Power Dry for Men
A Male Genital Pad is recommended for swelling and/or fibrosis in the scrotal area fibrosis. Shredded-foam filled liner with Continuous Flow vertical stitching pattern directs lymph flow away from the testicular area toward an alternate functional lymphatic pathway. This padded insert should be used under a compression garment for protection, added comfort and optimal results.

This loose-fill Round PitPak is often useful under short-stretch bandaging to help soften woody or long-standing fibrosis.
Made of Organic Cotton & Spandex (Ivory) with 100% natural cherry pits (cleaned & sterilized, destroying the possibility of sprouting or being used for seed purposes), inside a soft cotton fabric.
Note: This can be an aggressive form of therapy that should be carefully monitored by a highly trained lymphedema therapist. The medical condition and tolerance level of each patient is different. Begin with an application of 15 minutes (maximum) under light compression to assess the situation before making any increases.
