The Sigvaris Secure Gauntlet provides medically graduated compression and strong containment to help manage lymphedema and swelling symptoms in the palm and wrist. If you’ve ever had a gauntlet that works well in the morning, but stops preventing swelling by the end of the day – the fabric does not have enough containment. This problem is eliminated in the Sigvaris Secure Gauntlet because it is made with high modulus inlay yarns that maintain containment all day and prevent garment fatigue. Vertical channels from toes to knee provide directional flow distal to proximal. This garment is appropriate for patients who have intact lymph nodes but who exhibit lymphatic insufficiency, edema, or indurated tissue below the knee. The vertical channel style is appropriate for patients with proportional ankle definition.
Chevron style channels from toes to knee provide bi-directional flow – medial to lateral and distal to proximal. A defined foot and ankle provide enhanced definition and greater comfort. It now features a standard heel assist loop to aid donning. It is Ideal for patients with edema and/or tissue induration at the foot, ankle, and lower leg, particularly if the popliteal lymph nodes have been damaged or removed.
